Paris Koh Fine Arts (201 Bridge Plaza North, Suite 201, Fort Lee, NJ) is proud to present a solo exhibition “Chaos: Hanhong Park”. This show will run from Sep. 6 –Oct. 7, 2023 with an opening reception on Friday, Oct. 15th from 6-8 PM.

 

 

Artist Hanhong Park's rainy New York City landscapes are so familiar to us that we often think of his paintings when we think of rain.

 

However, this solo exhibition introduces his latest work, the "Chaos" series, and for those of us who are familiar with his rain works, chaos may seem unfamiliar. The Rain and Chaos series seem to be completely different styles of painting, but they are related. 

The flowing, colorful lights reflected in the water on the road in the Rain series lead to the myriad of dots used in the Chaos series.

Therefore, the works from the Rain Series to the Chaos Series will be exhibited together to help us understand the artist's process and the connection between the two works.

 

Park was born in Daegu and studied in South Korea.  After immigrating to the United States, he has been a New York-based artist for more than 30 years and has been exhibiting in Europe and Asia. His work is especially popular in Italy.   This is his first solo exhibition of new work in a long time.

 

 

 

 

패리스 고 파인 아트(201 Bridge Plaza North, Suite 201, Fort Lee, NJ)에서 박한홍 개인전 "카오스"를 개최합니다. 이번 전시는 2023년 9월 6일부터 10월 7일까지 진행되며, 10월 15일 금요일 오후 6시부터 8시까지 오프닝 리셉션이 열립니다.

 

박한홍 작가의 비 내리는 뉴욕 풍경은 우리에게 너무나 친숙해서 비를 떠올리면 그의 비그림을 떠올리곤 합니다.

그러나 이번 개인전에는 그의 최신작인 '카오스' 시리즈 페인팅을 소개합니다. 그의 비 작품에 익숙한 우리에게는 카오스가 낯설게 느껴질 수도 있습니다. 비와 카오스 시리즈는 전혀 다른 스타일의 그림처럼 보이지만 서로 연관성이 있습니다. 비작업에서 보여지는 길위의 물위에 반사된 흐르는듯한 형형색색들의 불빛들은 물결을 따라 흐트러 지면서 혼돈작업에서 보여지는 무수히 많은 점들로 이어집니다

따라서 비 시리즈에서 카오스 시리즈로 이어지는 작품들을 함께 전시하여 박한홍 작가의 작업 과정과 두 작품의 연관성을 이해하는데 도움이 될것입니다.

박한홍 작가는 구상 작품이 강하다고 알려진 대구출생이며 한국에서 학업을 마쳤습니다. 미국으로 이민 온후 30여년간 뉴욕의 아티스트로 유럽과 아시아 지역에서 꾸준하게 활동을 하고 있으며, 특히 이태리에서 그의 작업들은 인기가 많습니다. 오랜만에 새로운 작업으로 개인전을 하게 되어 기대가 되어집니다.
